Armopanel® Building Systems

The Armopanel technological concept lies in using physic and mechanical characteristics of polystyrene sheets, connected through metal spacers and plastic retaining nuts. Such a pre-fabricated module can be used for fast erection of concrete walls and floors with perfect thermo-insulation.

The most important vector of the company’s development activities is a generation of the systems which allow to simplify considerably the construction process by reducing or even eliminating totally some time- and labor-consuming operations. At the same time it focuses on providing higher thermo-insulation capability of walls and floors in order to save energy for heating and air conditioning. Ultimately that leads to the cutting of utility expenses and better keeping environment healthy.

HTBS has designed a family of formworks and Structural Insulated Panels for fast erected houses based on the common technologic concept under the registered trademark “Armopanel”.

The companies specialized in designing and manufacturing of insulating concrete forms (today there are more than 60 such companies operating across North America) predominantly are dealing with block-style systems «a la lego». Constructively every block is a relatively small (1200mm X 400mm) 3-D module having two polystyrene sheets and plastic spacers holding them in one form.
Being delivered to the construction sites they are used as initial elements (bricks) of formwork for erecting walls. To conduct the assembling works properly a contractor needs to have on the construction site the highly qualified and professional team which spends a lot of time to erect and straighten out formwork, fasten blocks firmly and cut them to suit the architectural blueprint

Any slight deviation in the assembling operation potentially may cause blow out while concreting. This is one of the biggest headaches for contractors using ICF. Since the block-designed formwork is a multi-row system it is a very high likelihood of producing the curved wall surfaces after concreting.

Armopanel® building systems, being developed and manufactured by HTBS, have a number of following advantageous features.
1. They are pre-fabricated customized systems tailored according to the specific architectural drawings, so that the installation process requires as minimum time and labour costs as possible.
2. They have a knockdown design which provides the versatility and flexibility of the systems in order to meet any sophisticated customers' requests and ensure better thermo- and sound -insulating capabilities of walls and floors.
1. They are integral fragments of walls corresponding with their heights that provide an opportunity to use horizontal alignment systems ensuring extreme planarity of the walls after concreting.
2. They are light (not more than 25 kg or 55ft) so two workers can move and installed them very easily without using cranes or any other lifting equipment.

Thanks to the above features the installation process is simplified dramatically turning into the effortless and elementary operations which do not require high-qualified labour force. The time needed for erecting walls and floors shrinks to a great extent. However, the quality of formwork is second to none.

The Armopanel systems are usable for erecting walls and floors of low and high raising residential, commercial or industrial buildings. They are cost-effective and environmentally friendly; have good fire resistance and waterproof characteristics.
